1st Annual SCS Dinner Out

An evening of socializing and celebrating! This evening will include a mingling cocktail hour and a sit-down dinner. Second Career Society is based on the calendar year, rather than the academic year, and our Dinner Out is a way to celebrate the end of a successful year for our organization. Additionally, SCS will recognize those students completing their JD in December. 

Where: 5120 Restaurant & Onyx Bar, Country Inn & Suites, 5120 American Blvd. West, Bloomington, MN 55437
When: Saturday November 19, 2011, 6pm Mingling, 6:30pm Dinner

Invitation with RSVP will be sent electronically after Mid-Term Break via TWEN and the SCS mailing list. Join SCS on TWEN or email to get the invite!

Tickets for SCS members are $40, for non-members and guests $45. Tickets include dinner and a glass of wine or beverage. Cash bar will also be available throughout the evening. Tickets will be available for purchase in the HUSL Student Lounge (basement) during open hours; Sat Oct 29th, Sun Oct 30th, Thurs Nov 10th, Sat Nov 12th, Sun Nov 13th. The last day to buy tickets will be Sunday November 13th! 

When you purchase your ticket, you will have the opportunity to choose your preferred entree of the options: Grilled Strip Loin, Spinach & Portobello Ravioli (Vegetarian option), or Grilled Chicken and Tomato Pasta. The salad course has almonds, please note with your entree preference if you have any nut (or other) allergies and SCS will do our best to accommodate. You will also be asked your preference between Pinot Grigio or Shiraz so we can get an idea of wine bottle numbers but you can change your mind on that the day of (unlike the entree option). Non-alcoholic beverages will be available, and a full cash bar for other beverages.

Grilled Strip Loin: with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, asparagus & roasted garlic au jus
Grilled Chicken and Tomato Pasta: penne pasta with grilled chicken & tomatoes in roasted garlic and herb cream sauce
Spinach & Portobello Ravioli: spinach, portobello & mushroom filled ravioli in white wine & garlic sauce with roasted tomatoes, asparagus & feta cheese

SCS is working out a group rate for the Country Inn and Suites in Bloomington for the night of the dinner, for those who wish to stay there. Completely optional and no-host, more details to follow in November.
